This is a gouping of SolidWorks related presentations I have prepared and presented.  There are 2 downloads for each presentation:

  • zip/pps/ppt - Complete PowerPoint or PowerPoint Show version of presentation archived in zip format. This includes all sample files that are used during the presentation(s).
  • pdf - Six (6) slide per sheet print outs of the presentations.  Nice for a handout, or practicing before the presentation.


Design Tables Demystified

  • Summary: This is a ground up look at creating Design Tables in SolidWorks.  It starts with basic design table creation and editing, and moves on to discuss useful methods used to create intelligent and automated design tables. . The zip/ppt download also includes some sample models.

SolidWorks API Demystified (SolidWorks World 2008)

  • Summary: This could easily be "SolidWorks API 101".  It starts with identifying what the SolidWorks API is, then moves on to identifying reasons and benefits for why you would want to looking to exploring and using the SolidWorks API. The zip/ppt download also includes some sample macros.

Exploring the SolidWorks API (SolidWorks World 2009)

  • Summary: This presentation will encourage the attendees to explore the SolidWorks API to learn more about what can be done with the macros in SolidWorks.  Attendees will also be encouraged to experiment with creating and editing macros, and see a variety of macros that have been created with the "Explore, Experiment and Create" mindset.

Exploring the SolidWorks API (SolidWorks World 2010)

  • Summary: This presentation will show how the SolidWorks API can be used to reduce your workload and increase your productivity.  Attendees will also be encouraged to experiment with creating and editing macros, and see a variety of macros that have been created with the "Explore, Experiment and Create" mindset. This presentation also contains many "macro flow-charts" to illustrate some of the logic behing how the macro decides what to do.
